Als Webdesign Freelancer hab ich schon ‘ne Menge mit Kunden erlebt, besonders wenn es darum geht über Preise oder Extra Arbeit zu verhandeln. Das gilt auch bei Graphikern, Photographen und anderen selbständigen Berufen. Hier einmal ein super geiles Video, wie es aussehen würden, wenn sich einige Kunden so im alltäglichen Leben verhalten würden. Ich hab mal zu dem Video deutschen Untertitel hinzugefügt.

@entyceit Technically speaking, you can do anything with Kompozer that you would do in Dreamweaver. The difference is that Kompozer is open source (free) and may not be quite as slick or user friendly all the time. But it’s also not $400.
can u attach a flash or dynamic html?
O man, you should learn to use css, way better than a layout with a table. Not to hard to by hand but i’m not sure about in kopozer
Great video Josh! I learned more about how to create a website in this 9 minute video than if I spent $100′s on ebooks etc. I’ll definitely be buying your tutorials whenever I feel like I need them. Probably if I experiment with CSS
Seems like you may have erased your progress then saved it that way. You may need to start over, unless you had a back up. That’s a bummer. I hope there wasn’t too much invested in that page.
Hello, great video btw. i just wanted to say i have desgined my own webpage using Kompozer BUT i accidently pressed revert on the tab i was using andnow every time i try to open it, it appears with no iamges, no background etc etc,… please help ?
Hmmm. That’s a good question. I know it is possible, but a little more difficult using straight HTML and out of my realm, to be quite honest. I’ve found it easier to do the more complex Content Management type stuff with WordPress. On there, submenus can be created and arranged with a couple of clicks. Maybe try the “Kommunity” and see if anyone can help you there.

hmmm. Not sure about that one, but it’s certainly possible that they haven’t made an upgrade for it yet.

Create a new blank file and save it as (something else).html
You can just go to the file menu and select “New”.
To connect them, you’ll need a navbar.

You’ll need to type the path into your source code. The path will vary depending on where your image is stored. Another thing you could do is place all images into one folder on your desktop and insert them into Kompozer using the given tools. THEN, upload the folder to your root directory and no extra work is needed. If that doesn’t make sense, sorry but my brain is mush at the moment. You’re welcome to email me.
I just FTP’d the image I want to my hosting server. Now how do I get the image onto my website?
Are you publishing to a server? If so, have you uploaded your images to the server? your browser accesses images just like other files, so they must be available on your server in order to appear on a published page. Hope this helps.

And if you highlight two cell using the the mouse then right click you can Join Selected Cells, I use this in Linux, many of the free tool that Mac uses was first made for Linux… I also have BlueFish for Linux…
das video ist spitze, denn es bringt die sache so ziemlich auf den punkt. abgesehen vom problem der wertschätzung der arbeit bzw. überhaupt den zahlungsschwierigkeiten gabs auch immer wieder kunden, die wollten, einfach mal so, man tue sie gefälligst auf platz eins der google suchergebnisse, denn andere sind ja auch ganz vorne. weil das so einfach geht, man muss da bloß bisschen was tun und, schwuppdiwupp, ist man der erste auf google

Ich kenne dieses Verhalten auch. Gerade deswegen sorge ich dafür, daß mir angeschlossene Freelancer auch die Kunden bekommen, die auch wissen was sie da kaufen und nicht im Nachhinein dumme Fragen stellen, um das Zahlen zu vermeiden. Schau doch mal vorbei..webdesigner4me.de

Als Freelancer begegnen mir in letzter Zeit immer wieder Kunden aus dem Umfeld Wirtschaftsprüfung/Unternehmensberatung, die ohne etwas zu sagen einfach nicht zahlen und das Thema bis zwei Tage vor Gerichtsverhandlung kommentarlos aussitzen um dann plötzlich ebenso kommentarlos alles zahlen… Da sind die hier dargestellten Fälle wesentlich charmanter… Man kanns ja mal versuchen..
… dafür zahlen wir natürlich nicht, ist ja klar.

Diese Situation kenn ich nur zu gut.
Ich habe das Drama mit fasst jedem Kunden inzwischen und dann werden mir irgendwelche Webseiten von “Kollegen” die mit Frontpage erstellt wurden unter die Nase gehalten die natürlich nur die Hälfte kosten. Und natürlich klar google Rank auf die Number One ist doch selbstverständlich
das gibt es gratis mit dazu!!
Ich nenne mich ab heute eine “IT-Berater” anstatt “Webentwickler” und frage mal 2000 EUR pro Tag. Scheiß auf die Leute die gute technische Leistung nicht auf Wert schätzen wollen. Dann benenn’ ich meine Arbeit einfach um: es heißt Beratung, also Tagessatz ab 2000 EUR. Auf Wiedersehen mit den Billigstkunden!

Genauso isses. Kenn ich fast gar nicht mehr anders. Meist sind es junge Damen: Dann heisst es bei uns “Schnepfenalarm!!!!” Wir arbeiten aber nicht für umsonst- sondt ist Name und Renomee weg!
