According to the results of an Italian survey, several mind-body approaches would be efficient to reduce the anxiety. The meditation would especially be of different analyzed the different techniques.
Some researchers reviewed passed in the data coming from 19 clinical tests with witness group, led by 1 231 sujets1. They valued various mind-body approaches used to reduce the anxiety, of which the relaxation progressive2, the relaxation appliquée3, the meditation and the autogenous training.
The researchers measured the therapeutic size of the different techniques, according to an account that gives an indication of the importance of the kindness of a treatment on the relief of the symptoms felt by the topics.
On average, the various approaches tested got an indication of 0.5136. This result corresponds to a therapeutic efficiency that one can qualify of "good" to "excellent". An indication such means that of 70% to 80% of the topics treated saw their anxiety to decrease.
The therapeutic effect was valued according to the reduction of the anxiety measured with the help of psychometric questionnaires tried. The relaxation applied got the most elevated result, but the efficiency of this technique remains to demonstrate again since it did not make the object that of only one test among those that were included in the survey.
