Brit spends an average of almost one day a month online, according to new research, much of that time on social networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace.
New research shows that Britons spend 65 percent more time online than they did three years ago.
survey of Internet use in Britain was conducted by UK Online Measurement(UKOM).

When you use social networks exploded in Britain in the past few years, the use of IM decreased at the same time period.
where we spent an average of 14 percent of the time of our instant messaging online three years ago, now only spend 5 percent of our time.
e-mail use has increased slightly over the past three years, with the average Brit spending 7.2 percent of their time on the Internet using e-mail, compared with 6.5 percent three years ago.
