Some studies already showed that the installation of posters could promote the use of the traditional stairs, in the public places. But some English researchers wanted to verify what association of sites and messages would optimize the physical ascension rather than mechanical.
According to them, the horizontal posters, installed on the risers, assure a good visibility before people take the decision to go up the steps to feet or no.
And it is useless to multiply the messages, according to the researchers,: the posters only raising one message ” Remain in shape: go up the steps on foot” gave as good results that the display of eight different messages.
Result: before the installation of the posters, 7% of people went up on foot against 14% after the installation of the banners to unique message. It is even slightly better than the 13,6% gotten with the posters to multiple messages.
