Question by Leslie R: How is the chemistry for nursing and allied health majors various than the chemistry for science majors?
I started school as a biology significant. I took chemistry my first semester in school, it was extermly diffucult. Even the brightest children in the class struggled via it. Average test scores scores for the class rarley left the reduced C variety.
Lately I decided to go into nursing, of course chemistry is essential for that significant also. Im signed on to take it this spring. Wll it be any easier, or just diverse subject matter???

It will almost certainly be much more practical, and much less theory. Not to say that you will not have to find out what a covalent bond is or whatever, but the new chemistry course must speak more about interactions, suspensions, measurement, and so on.

It may not be easier, it will most likely be about the same type of subject matter as any chem class in that level (100, 200, etc.) Some times the subject matter is the same, but the problems are more worded toward a nursing program.
If you are taking it at a University, there will most likely be no difference and you will probably be taking it with biology, chem, and other science majors.
If you are taking it at a CC, then it will be easier and somewhat geared toward nursing.
